    • I liked everything about the Adobe Rose Inn. The location is perfect for attending the Tucson Festival of Books on the UofA campus; the inn itself is attractively appointed and comfortably furnished, providing a relaxing atmosphere; the breakfasts are traditional and innovative at the same time, and wonderfully delicious; and best of all, Jim and Marian are hosts par excellence: not only are they responsive to every little need and desire, even anticipating some, and wonderfully hospitable and engaging, but they also provide amenities above and beyond those expected at a B&B.
    • Marion and Jim were excellent hosts. Made my husband and I (East Coasters) feel so welcomed. House is beautifully appointed; our room (Sam Hughes) was lovely and comfortable and the big tiled bathtub/shower was awesome! Hearty breakfasts, great location near the University of AZ but not at all noisy. Beautiful pool during warm weather. Highly recommended. Other guests brought lively conversation to the breakfast table. Would return there in a minute!
    • The best part of this stay was definitely the great breakfast! Marion prepares an elaborate and tasty meal. We loved the historic Sam Houston neighborhood. It was an easy walk to the shuttle stop so we could go downtown without driving. There are lots of places for a good meal nearby. Our room was a bit small and the coffee maker didn’t work, but we got a good night’s sleep since the room was quiet and private.
    • The inn is comfortable and clean. The hosts are very friendly and informative. The people staying there were interesting, friendly and came from various parts of the country. Jim and Marion were lovely hosts. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Lovely decor.
    • friendly staff, felt very safe as a woman traveling alone and breakfast was amazing

    Description:

Casa Tierra Adobe Bed & Breakfast Inn is located in Avra, just 16 miles from Tucson.Certain accommodations have a sitting area where you can relax. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find bathrobes, free toiletries and a hairdryer. The nearest airport is Tucson International Airport, 17 miles from Casa Tierra Adobe B&B Inn.

    Reviews:

    • Friendly host, great breakfasts, chiminea, middle of desert
    • So glad to have discovered Casa Tierra Adobe and the solitude and beauty of the Sonoran desert. Our stay was quite lovely as our host has given such great attention to the details that make travelers comfortable and welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Tucson area (all within reasonable driving distance: Mt. Lemmon, Tucson Botanical Gardens, Pima Air Museum, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the Tucson Fossil, Gem, and Mineral Show), but loved coming back to Casa Tierra at the end of the day, to converse with the other guests and enjoy this little piece of desert heaven. You will want to add an additional day to your trip to just chill and spend time at Casa Tierra, something we did not do this time, but will certainly plan for when we return!
    • It’s nice to stay just outside the city and enjoy the beautiful desert. Very comfortable and the host Dave is a super nice guy. You might think you made a mistake as you drive out of the city, but it really doesn’t take long to get there! Worth it!
    • I loved our personal patio with the clay, chimera stove, which was vented up and over the top of the patio covering. Also, there was a large hot tube for guests to use. My husband and I jumped into the hot tube just after sunset and watched the stars come out at night. Also, Casa Tierra Adobe is built in true hacienda style, which I love. There is a courtyard in the center with a fountain and some lovely flowering plants. This courtyard is surrounded on 3 (or 2 1/2 sides) by a covered walkway, which is very wide(8 – 10 feet) and has room for comfy chairs, tables and book shelves full of interesting books and magazines and lovely southwestern decorations. There were 2 doors to our room. One door entered onto the inner hacienda courtyard and the other onto the outside, personal, patio. There is a common room which has a couches, computer, tv and two sides of the room are glassed in and overlook the desert–just beautiful. Dave is an excellent host.
    • The breakfast we had was outstanding. We were served by Dave the Owner. He made Polenta with a wonderful red sauce. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Dave made it very special with a nice bottle of sparkling wine and a chocolate rose on our bed. It was a cozy and comfortable place to stay.
This little B&B was so quaint. It was located in the Sonoran Desert, so there were many birds and magnificent cactus everywhere.

And the conversation was informative and entertaining with host Pat and our fellow lodger. Highly recommend this B&B!
    • Our room was enormous! From the cushy king bed to the buttery leather couch and chairs, the space was designed for maximum comfort. The fireplace added a romantic atmosphere and the perfect amount of warmth. The adjoining bath was sparkling clean and Pat provided a nice assortment of shampoo, conditioner, soaps and body lotions. Our room had a private entrance opening onto a private patio just steps from the parking spot for our car. Pat prepared a scrumptious breakfast that we shared with three other guests. The food and conversation were delicious and enjoyable. I would love to stay here again.
