- The way they welcome my family and child with special needs with open arms even provided him with toys to play with best day ever
The owners Larry and Marilyn will make you feel welcome from the first step you take into their home. They have many travel stories to talk about if your interested, or you could bug Larry how he built that place by himself.
The breakfast was filling. Choices of cereals, muffins, croissants, boiled egg, avocados, oatmeal, fruit and tea/coffee.
The location was a bit tricky driving to at night. Possibly a sign to say go to the end of the road! hahha Ideally, since your reading this, now you know to follow the road all the way down. Cute establishment, huge yard and the beds are okay. They gave you a heated blanket you could turn on at night if you got cold. I didn’t sleep that well in the bed but my boyfriend slept like a rock. If I was going to be picky, maybe larger or fluffier pillows would have helped.
Great hosts, clean establishment and we don’t live far. We will be back!
- The breakfast was the best, Larry and Marilyn were super friendly, Larry gave us helpful tips about visiting Yosemite, surroundings were beautiful – in the middle of woodlands, in the mountains
- The owners are kind and personable. Everything is clean and cared for. Breakfast has lots of different choices of simple and yummy foods. The setting is beautiful!

- An amazing place close to Yosemite NP. Nice and secluded on a quiet ranch. We were made to feel very at home and the breakfasts we had each day were delicious. Kevin and Deborah’s knowledge of the park was admirable and they helped us to make the most of our short time in Yosemite.
- Believe the reviews. You would not get a better place than this. While I was only there briefly I could stay a week. I returned to red tail ranch late after a full day hike and was expecting to grab a few biscuits for dinner I had a in my bag. However the host was so kind to give me the most amazing dinner she had prepared instead. It is this hospitality that leaves a lasting impression of not only this place but of my time in the USA.
We loved the location, and would have scored it more than 10 if we could. It was lovely to wake up in the morning and go out to look over the meadow, drinking a cup of coffee and contemplating the rest of the day.
Equally, after a hard day exploring Yosemite National Park, it was good to come back and rest for a while in the terrace, whilst admiring the humming birds and woodpeckers.
- Lovely hosts, Deborah and Kevin were very welcoming, and made us feel at home straight away. We loved star gazing from the hot tub, and the lovely fire outside, great cooking facilities, comfortable room with nice bathroom and shower products. One of the most beautiful settings of any place we’ve ever stayed. Cannot fault it.
The owners were very hospitable and accomodating. They opened up
Their entire property to their guests. Nice linens, comfortable beds and nice touches throughout. The breakfast(s) were outstanding. Lots of fuel to support hikes in Yosemite. Good tips on must see sites in Yosemite and Groveland. We enjoyed the other guests as well. We were the only Americans staying there. Having lived in England before, we really enjoyed their guests from the UK, Netherlands and Austria. Overall a great experience. We would go back if ever in the area. (We are from Michigan)

- New owner just took over and was so nice, but it’s not fair to give overall rating at this time; we thought there would be breakfast, but will rate again later on in the month. New owner was super lady.
- Kind, polite and helpful staff. Bed was so comfy. Weather impaired our use of the cute balcony; but it was attractive none the less. Location was good. Eateries very limited, so many were closed and the saloon was packed so we ended up doing Mexican and both got sick. Breakfast was yummy, plan to try my hand at Ann’s eggs with spinach soon. And the fruit cup was just like home. I am odd, but like coke with my breakfast and soft drinks weren’t made available. (lots of European’s also like coke with every meal)
- Room was spacious, with spa tub, porch, separate entrance. It was right off the parlor and breakfast room. The bed was comfortable. The linens are of good quality. There was a closet, a small refrigerator. Very well appointed.
- Large room, comfortable bed, good wifi. Very pleasant attentive staff.
- The inn was conveniently located on the main highway through Groveland (we were on our way to Yosemite). The staff person Moon greeted us and was extremely friendly, pleasant, and helpful. The inn was well maintained, clean, quiet, and parking was on site. We were leaving very early in the morning so we would miss breakfast. No problem, Moon ran out to a nearby grocery store and made us to go breakfasts for the morning including yogurt, fruit, and a nut bar. The room and private bath were very clean, and quaint. We slept well and left very satisfied with our stay.

- Joe is an exceptional host. He was very gracious and attentive and had a lot of interesting stories. This is heaven for dog owners traveling for Yosemite.
- Great setting and ideal for Yosemite. The house is great and Joe and Linda excellent hosts. Joe gave some good advice on travel and places to stop off. As Yosemite first timers this was really useful. We will be back.
- Big beautiful cabin, great host, awesome home made breakfast, s’mores, very clean!
- Great place to stay. Beautiful house. The owner was very helpful in planning our vacation in Yosemite.
Excellent accommodation for Yosemite visitors, it has a “Welcome Home” feeling to it and the hosts are great, if you are into hearing good old aviator stories after a long day hike this is the place to go.
Breakfast was good, custom made world class omelet that made you ask for another portion.
Very clean and well maintained B&B. Totally recommend, and I usually never give 10 start reviews on booking but this one deserves it by far !
