- Cute family. Very nice host. Location on the water.
(In answer to one of the bonus questions; No eggs were served during our stay.)
The interior was very clean. We particularly appreciated that there were no residual odors of any kind! (a very rare thing in lodging accommodations in our experience.) The general atmosphere was calm, caring and inviting without being intrusive. I very much enjoyed the detox foot baths I opted for during our stay. I also enjoyed seeing the subsistence garden concepts included the landscaping. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would come again when we are back in the area!
The property location was good and the house itself was a nice colonial style building in a beautiful part of Long Island albeit in need of a little TLC externally. Beds were comfortable.
The owner and her staff were pleasant and helpful wrt the local area.
Tea and coffee were available – but not fresh made, from a machine.
- The Victorian room has a king size bed , fireplace, water views and is close to the full bath that has a shower
- The harbor rose is a very special place to stay. Beautiful location, we had a warm welcome, a lovely room, a (complimentary) drink with other guests in the evening in the homely livingroom and a lovely homecooked breakfast in the morning with a very special and yummy (vegan) home mode sweet potato pie. Don’t expect loads of things to choose from at breakfast, but a lovely breakfast made for you especially on the spot. Unfortunately we could only stay one night. We would have loved to stay longer.
