- We loved reading about the history of the property and the fact that it is an historical residence . It was perfect for our evening, which was , participating in the Hearth Side Supper at Conner Prarie , located right across the road from the B&B. Walking distance we would recommend staying here to everyone and are looking forward to our next stay. .

The best of this jewel among hotel-accommodations are the hosts! I was welcomed like an old friend and invited to join the hosts at the dinner table with their friends and family. The breakfast was individually prepared according to my preferences. Unfortunately I had no time to attend the Yoga-lessons offered on the premises. The two separate buildings are joined by a garden-path, the rooms are beautifully furnished and there are several communal spaces available.
The internet-connection is free and very good.

Staff was excellent and friendly. Lovely location. Enjoyed sitting out on the front patio and eating a marvelous French inspired breakfast. A delightful experience, this is a destination B&B type hotel.
We grew up in this quaint little town 50 years ago. Kudos to the owners for their foresight. We will be back. Dave & Kathy Harris, Crystal Lake, IL.
- Staff was super nice, the place was very clean and comfortable-surrounding area made it complete!
- From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. There is a genuine care care for hospitality that is too often lost, and a real warmth. Everything in the room was caringly folded and arranged, and a personal note from Sheila was a wonderful welcome. Whatever you may need, it has already been thoughfully taken care of. The bathroom products are great and they are complemented by and informative sheet about their ethics and origin. Much appreciated. And breakfast is a delicious treat, so fresh and tasty – basically, we wish we didn’t have to leave so soon,
