    Reviews:

    • This is a 3 star property. The location is in the old part of La Paz. Julio, the owner, gave me a fabulous 4 hour driving tour of La Paz. I even got to take a gondola ride up to over 4000 meters.
      I also took a tour of the Valley of the Moon…Pretty cool if you are into geology. What makes this
      property unique is that murals are painted throughout the property…in the rooms, hallways and
      public areas.
    • The staff were very helpful and I found the bed comfy. Location was ok
    • Amazing staff, amazing breakfast, perfect budget hotel
    • very friendly and helpfull staff, explained us the location, where to go out for dinner and provided oxygen, cause we got problems with the hight
      nice rooms with paintings, nice view from the roof top
    • If you do not want to take a taxi and spend 70Bs, you can take a taxi to El Alto cable car station (15-20 Bs), pay 3 Bs for the cable car and get off at Taypi Uta. It is about 15-20 minutes walking from Taypi Uta to Estrella Andina. The hotel walls are nicely painted, so it is like in a gallery. We could check in early – at 9:30. The hotel is close to the market area, so if you wish to buy anything, it is only 5 minutes on foot. There is a nice viewpoint on the 6th floor. Breakfast is on 5th floor with a city view.

    • The bathrooms, even though shared, were very clean, and the staff friendly. The location is excellent!
    • Our twin room with shared bathroom was on the front and really huge, with huge windows. The shared bathroom was okay with a hot shower. The space upstairs was nice with a shared kitchen and good view. The gas ran out mid cooking one day and the guy on reception helped out and let us use the kitchen downstairs to finish off the meal. Good value for money I think 🙂

    • Loved to interiors, checked in super early with no complications, friendly staff – called taxi for us to airport
    • The building itself looks kind of well compared with the average, even though needs a bit of a renovation
    • The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, were able to book our tour of Mt. Chacultaya and Valley of the Moon at a MUCH more reasonable price than anything found on the internet. We booked and payed for our Lake Titicaca tour before arriving La Paz but would have saved ALOT of money if we would have waited and booked through the hotel. Both of these tours are a MUST, beautiful and well organized! The breakfast was good included fresh fruit and juice along with breads and yogurt. The hotel is simple but clean and nice, hot water all the time/great showers, linens and towels were included, we felt very safe at this hotel. I would stay here again, good price for what we got.
