    Reviews:

    • Kind staff, excellent food, good position, very clean
    • The owners were warm and generous. Really lovely people who obviously genuinely cared about their clients. There was a great atmosphere at the property with the locals who were equally friendly despite the language barrier
    • The staff were very kind to a pilgrim who a) hadn’t booked, b) had no Spanish and c) who was quite rude, finding her a bed even though they were fully booked.
    • Great location – Right on the Camino and you shorten the very difficult Camino day by 2 hours (not just the km but also a lot of tiring gravel road and lots of up and down to come). So this albergue is like 2 hours from Negreira. Albergue is a great place to stop because its small and cosy (compared to less charming busy Negreira). It comes with a garden, a cafe. Dinner was excellent (lentil soup, tortilla, salad) – our pilgrim group was applauding 🙂 Lots of pilgrims sitting at 2 long wooden tables (community feel). Hosts are super friendly – remembering names of the pilgrims, feels very personal. Breakfast is available super early and the host shows you the way. Small dorms.
    • The staff of this little place is very polite and nice. The place is very convienient, if you want to be quite remote from lots of people.

    • Estancia inmejorable.
      Volveremos!!!!

    • The backyard was so peaceful and lovely! The owner bent over backwards to help make our stay perfect! He drove us into town, helped us make a special dinner and was super friendly and kind!!!
    • The house is in a quiet area and the room was comfortable. The food alone was worth the walk. I’d stay there again.
    • Very charming accommodations. We stayed in the bunkroom off the large dining hall. It felt like we were staying in a medieval castle. Quiet, comfortable space. Very clean. Staff drop ve me to town and picked me up when I needed to have a meal. The meal provided was cooked and served with love. Simple, but delicious and enjoyed in the garden.
Wonderful and pleasant staff and owner.
    • The staff was so nice and accommodating. Because there weren’t that many of us staying- I didn’t want them to cook a meal just for me, even though they were willing. I decided I would eat in town and they were kind enough to give me a ride into Negreira, recommend a great restaurant and pick me up and bring me back to their place afterwards.
The room was spacious with a shared bathroom upstairs as well as several bathrooms downstairs.
If you have mobility concerns they have you taken care of. One of the bathrooms is specifically handicapped accessible and there is bedroom on the main floor.

    Reviews:

    • Clean with comfortable beds and lots of bathrooms with private showers. Provided towels and sheet were equal to those in three star hotels. The owner took my cousin who is a farmer over to look at a robotic milker on her partners farm. At the restaurant the soup and lasagne were the best of our month long trip in Spain. We normally stay in three star hotels but at this point on the camino none were available but this albeque did not disappoint us as everything was new and first class and it had a good kitchen and an available washer and drier and an excellent restaurant on site.
    • Absolutely the BEST albergue on 40 days of the Camino. A beautiful little village and an amazing path to get you there. Our innkeeper was so sweet. She was so excited when we showed her that her new Albergue was listed in the Wise Pilgrim guide (new August 2018).
Oh and REAL REAL COTTON sheets and a comforter. This is an Albergue that covers the basics!!
Pilgrim Meal next door in the cafe was wonderful for dinner. She made us a Vegetarian option and let us ‘adjust’ the menu to fit our food needs. We even got to try a chefs creation of a veggie “meatball” on top of our rice!! So yummy!!
And the entire place was soooooo clean!
Also loved loved loved the dairy cows throughout the village.
They say the Camino provides abd wow did it ever here!!
    • This was the nicest albergue I’ve stayed at in 3 Caminos! It is scrupulously clean, has comfortable bunks with new mattresses, free lockers, individual toilet/shower rooms, an excellent restaurant and the most gracious, friendly and energetic hospetelera/owner that I’ve ever met.
    • Such a lovely host who went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. Fantastic new albergue. Bunks with cotton sheets and huge padded cover. Very good bathroom facilites. Washer and tumble drier for 3.50 euros each. Food cooked from the menu when it was suitable for me. such a treat after the steep climb up then down to arrive here. One of the best I’ve ever stayed in 🙂
    • One of the top albergues from my camino. Lovely owner too who I had a laugh with in the bar. Great bed with really good blanket, individual bathrooms, very clean. Bacon and eggs and good coffee for breakfast. What more can you ask for?

All furniture and appliances are new. Could we wish more?

    • Modern, new and clean, and because we are a group, we had the whole floor for ourself
    • The place wasnt on camino path but they offer pick up ( a bit of an unpleasant walk from ponte olveira) and was dropped off back there in the morning for free.
It was empty so they very kindly offered me the double bedroom ensuite bathroom instead of the bunkbed i had booked. It was extremelly clean and comfortable.
