Tessa is just getting cuter and cuter. I know what you mean about the comparisons. I am always saying and thinking, "Beckett was like this, but Felix is like this" or "Beckett was like this and so is Felix." Also, if you are looking for bigger swaddling blankets I saw these at Target http://www.target.com/p/aden-anais-blue-oh-boy-muslin-swaddles/-/A-13652669 when I was there the other day. (They sell them on Amazon as well.) We have a pack that I bought from Baby Steals and they are the biggest swaddlers I've found. (Amazon and Target seem to be disagreeing on how big they are. Mine are 47x47.) Felix weighed in at 14 and a half pounds at 2 months, so big is good. Plus, I like the muslin for the warmer weather and for packing in a diaper bag. (Doesn't baby gear make people a little nutty? I love the stuff that I love, but some of the stuff that others love just doesn't work for me at all. Like nursing pillows. I'm not a fan but most people rave about their favorite pillow. I'm always really interested in hearing what other people like.)

I always knew that I wanted NO MORE than 2 kids, but probably just one.

Andy and I were pretty firm on the "just one, probably, someday" stance when I got pregnant. So. That quickly turned into "just this one."

Growing up, I was always told that I couldn't do or have things or we couldn't go places because we couldn't afford it. I don't want to be saying that to Genevieve. If she wants to take classes or go somewhere, I want to be able to pay for it. I want us to travel as a family. Things like that get more pricey and difficult the more kids there are.

(Plus, I didn't like my brother until I was like 18 and he was 10. I don't want to have to live through years of siblings hating each other.)

We're lucky in that Andy's brother and sister are close in age to us and also live close. So all of our kids will have cousins of similar ages. (Andy's sister is due with their first in the beginning of July. G already has a built-in buddy!)

All too true. I don't know what the solution is, though. I hate to say it, but at least here in America, the average high-school graduate does not have the critical thinking skills to even be aware of these issues, much less respond to them appropriately. At this point, I almost wish we could forbid anyone other than scientists to write popular media articles on scientific matters.

You haven't read the Dark Tower! What the what? It connects pretty much everything he's written.

I couldn't disagree more vehemently with you about The Stand. And while I agree about the ending of It, the rest is pretty amazing.

I hate Lisey's Story. HATE.

Now we clearly need to meet IRL so we can argue passionately about King.

I love Stephen King! I love almost all of his short stories and you definitely need to read the Long Walk. My first King book was Pet Semetary when I was ten, I don't think I slept for a week! If you liked Lisey's Story then you should definitely pick up Rose Madder.

I really enjoyed Christine. It was perfectly scary and by far my favorite horror novel even though I don't normally care for horror at all. I also loved 11/22/63 but who didn't?
