Thanks. I'm definitely intrigued enough that I want to go back and read Landay's other books. I've seen good things about Mission Flats, looking forward to it.

I'm a huge William Landay fan. I haven't read his second book, The Strangler yet but I should. He is an excellent writer who knocked it out of the park with MISSION FLATS. That ending, I still remember it like it was yesterday. Plan to get this book when it comes out this week. Thanks for the excellent review.

In law school I used to lay on the couch, watch Law & Order and object. It was great practice for Trial Team. :) That was actually one of the things I really liked about Murder One. Lots of objections. And the Judge let almost everything in... just like real life!

I wasn't in love with this one either, and it was a bit difficult to review. My background is on the civil side, not criminal, so I can't comment much on the accuracy of some of the legal stuff. That being said, courtroom shows or books are always fun to comment on. My Evidence class included pausing movies and soap operas in order to make the correct objections. BTW, I loved Murder One too.
